Southwestern Pita Pockets


The secret is the mayonnaise in these delicious pita pockets. Serve with sliced pears and Nestlé Toll House cookies for dessert. 

1 cup ORTEGA Salsa - Homestyle Recipe, divided use
1/2 cup mayonnaise 
6 pita breads, cut in half 
12 slices smoked turkey or chicken 
12 slices pepper Jack cheese 
2 cups shredded lettuce 
1 cup sliced ripe black olives 

Combine half the salsa and mayonnaise in a small bowl. In each pita half, place a slice of turkey,

a slice of cheese, lettuce and olives; top with remaining salsa. Makes 6 servings.
