Cajun-Style Broiled Alaska Halibut (5 PTS)

4 6 oz halibut steaks -- thawed if necessary
1 tablespoon olive oil
**SEASONING MIX**
1 tablespoon paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano -- crushed
1 1/2 teaspoons dried thyme -- crushed
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
In small bowl, combine seasoning mix ingredients; set aside 2
teaspoons of
mixture. Place remaining seasoning mix in air-tight container and
reserve
for other uses. Place halibut on baking sheet or broiler pan that has
been
coated with non-stick cooking spray. Brush halibut with oil; sprinkle
1/2
teaspoon of seasoning mix evenly over each halibut steak. Broil 10
minutes
per inch of thickness or until fish flakes when tested with fork. Serve
warm.
Tip: Seasoning mix is great on Alaska pollock or cod fillets.
