Barbecued Turkey on a Stick 


1 Tablespoon oil 
1 Medium sweet onion 
1 Cup chili sauce 
1/4 Cup ketchup 
2 Tablespoons vinegar 
2 Tablespoons brown sugar 
1 Teaspoon paprika 
1-1/2 Pounds turkey breast, cut into 6-inch by 1-inch strips 
To taste salt and freshly ground black pepper 

Over medium heat, in a large skillet, heat oil. Add onion and saute until soft and golden. 

Stir in chili sauce, ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar and paprika. Reduce heat and simmer 2 minutes. Pour into a large baking dish. 

Thread turkey strips onto skewers. 

Barbecue or broil turkey skewers 1-2 minutes on each side until no longer pink. Place in baking dish with barbecue sauce and toss to coat all surfaces of turkey. 

Or bake in a preheated 350 degree F. oven for 30 minutes or until cooked throughout.
