Mahogany Marinade

1/4 cup Balsamic or Red Wine Vinegar
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 Tb.  Molasses
1 Tb. Worcestershire sauce
1 Tb. Olive or vegetable oil
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1/4 tsp. salt
1-1/2 to 2-2/1 lbs. you favorite steak


For marinade, combine all ingredients except steak's). In shallow non aluminum baking dish or large plastic bag, pour 1/3 cup marinade over steak's); turn to coat. Cover, or close bag and marinate in refrigerator, turning occasionally,1-3 hours. Refrigerate remaining  marinade.Remove steak's) from marinade, discarding marinade. Grill or broil steak, turning once and brushing frequently with remaining marinade, until desired doneness.
