Buttermilk Rye Bread 

(bread machine)

A very flavorful rye bread, perfect for sandwiches. From Bread Machine Magic. 

For a 1 pound loaf 

7/8 cup buttermilk
2 cups bread flour
1/3 cup rye flour
1 tsp salt
1 Tbsp butter or margarine
1 1/2 Tbsp brown sugar
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp caraway seeds
2 tsp yeast

Place all ingredients in bread pan, select Light Crust setting, and press Start. 
After baking cycle ends, remove bread from pan, place on cake rack and allow to cool 1 hour before slicing.
