Apple-Pecan Stuffing

2 8-oz. pkgs. herb stuffing mix
4 celery stalks
4 tart apples or hard pears
1 1/2 cups pecans

Prepare stuffing mix according to package directions. Chop the celery;
peel, core and chop the apples or pears; chop the pecans. Add to stuffing
mix, place in a heavy casserole and cover. Bake in a 350-degree oven for
15 to 20 minutes until heated through, basting, if you have it, with turkey
broth. Makes 8 servings.
