Ham Balls

"This tasty dish, pairing ham and pork, is a wonderful way to use up left over Easter ham. Covered with a savory brown sugar sauce, these ham balls are hard to resist."

1 pound ground fully cooked ham
1 pound ground pork
2 eggs
3/4 cup milk
2/3 cup bread crumbs

SAUCE:
1-1/2 cups packed brown sugar
2/3 cup water
1/2 cup vinegar
3/4 tsp. dry mustard

In a bowl, combine pork, ham, eggs, milk and bread crumbs. Shape into 1 or 2-inch balls; place in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. In a saucepan, combine sauce ingredients and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Pour over ham balls. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 60-70 minutes or until browned. Makes 8 main meal servings for 2-inch balls; or 16 appetizer servings if making 1-inch balls.
