Cheese Scones

1/2 pound plain flour
4 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1 1/2 ounce butter
5 ounces milk
2 - 3 ounces. grated cheese
chopped chives, cayenne & dry mustard, amounts to taste
Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Rub in butter, then add milk to make a moist mixture. Turn out onto a floured board and press down to about 1" height. Cut into small rounds with cutter. Bake at 400 degrees for approximately 10 minutes.
