Places D'Ananas De Chocolat
Chocolate Pineapple SquaresBase :
1/2 lb butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg, well beaten
2 cups flour, sifted
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 squares chocolate, melted
1/2 cup nuts, chopped
Topping :
1 can cubed pineapples, drained
1 cup sugar
4 tablespoons flour
2 egg yolks
1. Cream butter, add sugar and mix well. Add beaten egg, sifted flour, vanilla, melted chocolate, and nuts. Mix well. Pour 3/4 of this mixture into a greased 9"x 12" baking pan.
2. Mix together ingredients for topping, spread over cookie base.
3. With remaining cookie base, form a trellis design on the top. Bake for 1 hour at 350°F.
