La Paz Coffee Cake

3/4 cup butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. almond extract
3 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 cup sour cream
1 can cherry pie filling
Streusel topping
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease two 9" deep dish glass pie pans. Cream
butter and sugar. Beat in eggs. Add extract. Combine flour and soda. Add to
creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. Divide evenly in two pans. Spread
pie filling on top to within 1/2" of edge. Sprinkle streusel topping over fruit.
Bake 35 minutes. Serves 12.
Streusel Topping:
Combine 1/2 cup flour, 1/4 cup sugar and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon. Cut in 1/4 cup
butter until crumbly.
